The Challenge

More than a webinar. A movement.

Embrace Change set out to create its inaugural flagship event — a high-energy virtual gathering celebrating and connecting BIWOC leaders across industries. The goal: combine recognition, networking, and thought leadership into one seamless experience.

The founder needed a partner who could match her vision for something bold, interactive, and worthy of the mission: empowering women of color leaders with money, power, and respect in the workplace.

What We Did

Built from scratch. Executed without a dropped detail.

  • Co-designed the full event flow and refined timing with the founder
  • Wrote all session descriptions and speaker scripts
  • Prepped and coordinated 18 speakers and a live DJ
  • Designed and set up custom branding for reception area, stage, and networking lounge
  • Hosted 23 topic-based networking tables to spark peer-to-peer connections
  • Managed platform logistics end-to-end
  • Delivered post-event survey and detailed analytics report

NYC SBS wanted to re-engage alumni of its Goods & Services Mentorship Program through a professional development event that went beyond procurement basics — helping certified M/WBEs write stronger, more competitive RFP responses with transparent, experience-based guidance from actual evaluators.

What We Did

Content-first strategy. Three interactive Fireside Chats.

  • Developed the event concept, structure, and content themes from the ground up
  • Designed the Fireside Chat format to replace a traditional panel
  • Structured conversations around three critical RFP sections: Scope & Approach, Past Performance, Compliance & Red Flags
  • Recruited and prepped three alumni moderators to lead discussions
  • Produced run-of-show, slide deck, and all event logistics
  • Managed catering, photography, and AV on-site
  • Designed and distributed post-event survey; delivered data analysis and wrap-up report

The Challenge

End-to-end support for a federal program — four years running.

The U.S. DOT Bonding Education Program equips small and minority-owned businesses in transportation infrastructure with the knowledge to qualify for surety bonds — a critical requirement for bidding on public contracts. BCM was engaged as the Program Consultant for the Northeast region across four consecutive cohorts.

What We Did

From curriculum to graduation, every year.

  • Designed session agendas and coordinated expert speakers for four cohorts of 3-hour training sessions
  • Created applications, screened firms for eligibility, and tracked participant progress
  • Produced flyers, email campaigns, and social media toolkits for recruitment
  • Wrote and distributed press releases reaching 70+ outlets including AP News, Bloomberg, and Construction Executive
  • Conducted one-on-one business assessments and developed individualized surety bonding plans
  • Coordinated with SBA, surety producers, accountants, and attorneys
  • Managed virtual and hybrid graduation events including in-person ceremony at Skanska HQ (2023)
  • Delivered surveys, data analysis, and formal reports to SBTRC and U.S. DOT

The Challenge

One day. Dozens of federal partners. Hundreds of small businesses.

The Northeast SBTRC needed a high-profile, one-day event preparing small businesses to access opportunities under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law — bringing together federal agencies, state DOTs, prime contractors, and diverse small businesses in two formats simultaneously.

What We Did

Aligned 50+ speakers across federal and state agencies.

  • Developed full program flow balancing keynotes, panels, breakouts, and networking
  • Built a speaker tracker to manage outreach, confirmations, and logistics for 50+ speakers
  • Created detailed speaker packets with logistics, contacts, and talking point guidance
  • Drafted and distributed invitation letters and follow-ups to agency partners and primes
  • Coordinated with venue and AV team; managed Zoom livestream production
  • Wrote copy for promotional emails, event materials, and session descriptions

Agencies represented: USDOT, FHWA, FAA, FTA, MARAD, SBA, MBDA, MTA, NYC DOT, Skanska, McKissack & McKissack, Jacobs Engineering, Goldman Sachs 10KSB, and multiple state DOTs.

67% turnout. 4.4/5 across all sessions.
