About Brass City Media
Founded in 2014. Trusted by government agencies, nonprofits, and companies across the country.
Meet the Founder
LaToya is an award-winning business and finance reporter whose work appeared in Black Enterprise Magazine and on the nationally syndicated television show Our World with Black Enterprise. That career taught her one thing above all else: how to take complex information and communicate it in a way people actually understand.
She founded Brass City Media in 2014 on that same skill — and has spent the decade since helping organizations across the public, nonprofit, and private sectors say what they need to say, reach the people they need to reach, and deliver work that holds up.
LaToya leads every client engagement personally — from the first strategy conversation through final delivery. She brings the same discipline to a federal government symposium that she brings to a brand founder's inaugural flagship event: ask the right questions, find the real story, and build something that works.
I started Brass City Media because I love two things most people treat as opposites: creative thinking and operational precision.
I'm a journalist by training. That means I ask a lot of questions before I produce anything. I want to understand your goals, your audience, the story you're trying to tell, and what success actually looks like for you — not just what the brief says. Then I build it. On time. On budget. With the kind of attention to detail that makes clients tell me my organizational skills are exceptional — which I take as the highest compliment.
How We're Built
Brass City Media operates with a curated network of experienced contractors — each brought in based on the specific demands of the project. This model means our clients get specialists, not generalists. Every engagement is staffed deliberately, with the exact mix of skills the work actually requires.
From directors of photography to virtual event stage managers, every person on a Brass City Media project has been vetted, has worked in high-stakes environments, and understands what it means to deliver at a professional standard.
The Production Bench
Depending on the scope and format of your project, Brass City Media assembles a team from the following roster of experienced specialists.
Manages full project or event scope — from planning and logistics to day-of execution. The connective tissue that keeps everything on time and on brief.
Leads all visual capture — from event coverage and interviews to scripted video productions. Professional-grade equipment and a practiced eye.
Turns raw footage into polished, purpose-built content — impact videos, educational series, event recaps, and more.
Creates the visual identity for events and communications — branded environments, slide decks, digital and print collateral.
Develops the language that shapes perception — speaker scripts, session descriptions, communications plans, reports, and web copy.
Keeps timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications on track. Ensures nothing falls through the cracks between strategy and execution.
Runs the technical side of virtual and hybrid events — managing the platform, cueing speakers, monitoring the live environment, and solving problems in real time.
On-the-ground support for event days and production shoots. PAs keep logistics moving and ensure every detail is covered.
Tell us what you're working on and we'll put the right people on it.
